Year of Projects 2021-2022: Week 16

This week, I continued work on my Cozy Autumn Socks. Sock #1 is done and I’ve knit the leg and started the heel flap on sock #2. I’m really enjoying working on these and absolutely LOVE the Maple colorway from Suburban Stitcher. Hoping to get these finished up this week!

I also plied up my 2-oz skein of the Sirius BFL/silk roving as a sample, and I’m happy with it. I’m spinning this as a fingering/sock-weight 2-ply to match the other gray-teal colors I’ve spun already. I feel confident moving forward with this one and I have 6 more ounces to spin, so will get started on the rest of the singles for this over the next week.

Have a great week YOP’ers!

  1. The sock looks great! And I had a reminder set to ping you about your spinning this week—looks like you’re doing just fine with that even without the reminders! (I have been spinning too, so thank you for the nudge on that this month, too. 🙂 )

      1. I don’t have much of a spinning goal at this point. I really just wanted to get in some spinning, any spinning. I’m about 1/2-2/3 done with a 2oz batt at the moment, and I’m hoping to get that finished this month, but that’s about as ambitious as I’m getting right now.

  2. Those socks are beautiful. The color really lets the pattern pop. I am in awe of your spinning. I’ve really got to move my wheel so it’s more accessible. I’d love to be able to spin a consistent yarn.
