Sliding into the weekend with a finished piece: Lineate (Ravelry link). This pretty, slouch-style hat from Blue Bee Studios features simple colorwork and striped bands, and knits up surprisingly quickly using fingering-weight yarn.

The pattern is written for 5 sizes and I knit the middle size. I used approximately 102 yards of each colorway of Sincere Sheep’s Valkyrie fingering-weight from the Made Here yarn club from 2 years ago. The yarn is a super soft blend of Cormo wool and alpaca, in Cumulus (natural gray) and Lupine (the naturally dyed purple). It has just the faintest of halos and is fantastic to work with. The hat has fun details like a simple technique to prevent the end-of-round jog when you switch colors, and hidden increases in the crown to create a bulls-eye pattern. Elizabeth’s patterns are always written with lots of great professional-looking details.

I actually have enough yardage to make the small size of this so at some point will probably do that to use up every yard of this lovely yarn.
Have a great weekend everyone!
