Hard to believe we are already halfway through June (seriously, where is this year going??), so I thought I would do a WIP post that shows my current projects and outlines what I’d like to try to get done before June has completely disappeared!
First up, the In Stillness Cardi, with design by Alicia Plummer. I have the body and one sleeve finished. I made some mods to the pattern and instead of plain ribbing, used the broken rib pattern that’s on the upper back/shoulders. It draws in less and I like that look for what I’m planning on being a lightweight summer cardigan. I have the sleeve and bands left to knit on this and it’d be fantastic if I could get that accomplished in the next 15 days.

Next up, I’d like to finish my Quadrilinear Scarf, design by Romi Hill. I think I’m about at 30% or so finished with this. I’d rather have it finished and off my plate before I cast on other things in July, if possible. I’m using a really nice and drapey Hazel Knits Merino/Soy sock yarn in the Cabbage Rose color.

While I won’t get it finished in June, I do want to try to get to my July check-in point on the Oregon Cardigan. I have about 18 rounds left but I’ve added in the underarm steeks and started the base of the V-neck shaping so the rounds are getting smaller (minimally, but still smaller) as I work around on this. I’m primarily working on this on the weekends, so if I can get 9-10 rounds over the next 2 weekends knit, I’ll be at that point.

Otherwise, the only other things in progress are:
1. The Driftwood Socks but I will wait and cast on sock #2 in July.
2. My Bronwyn pullover, but I’m at the stopping point/checkpoint for my July check-in on those, with both sleeves finished, so that’ll be on hold until I pick it up after I do that check-in post.
3. The Birlinn Blanket. This is an ongoing project with modular individual blanket squares to use up sock yarn scraps, so I do a block or two a month for class turn-ins, but no real goal on this one for a short-term finish.
I had really wanted to start a Sea Glass Tea. I have it swatched and all the yarns are pulled and ready to start but I really can’t justify starting yet another sweater right now that’s on a random want-to-knit list when I’m trying to focus on some bigger stashdown goals. So, I think I will pack the yarns up for this one with the swatch and my notes, and maybe start it next year for the summer?
